Mr. Abam is a Partner at Marix Associates and leads the ICT Practice. He is recognized as technology leader with deep expertise in conceptualizing and leading transformative initiatives focused on customer satisfaction and strengthening competitive edge. He is a subject matter expert in SOA, cloud, robotic process automation, data modeling, data standards, data governance and analytics.
He is reputed for evangelizing early adoption of technology, skilled at relationship management and a dependable business partner delivering top vendor performance. His proven ability to balance fact-based strategic thinking, tactical execution and logical approach to the planning process ensured successful product design, solution architecture and engineering deployments.
At Western Union, Mr. Abam successfully led the Robotics Process Automation (RPA) implementation capitalizing on new technology to automate critical businesses positively that impacted revenue acceleration. He led vendor evaluation, Blue Prism RPA solution design both at the implementation and management perspective and served as engineering head of RPA Centre of Excellence for strategy / governance.
His cross functional skills were deployed in leading projects with C-Suite executives and building buy-in among technology leaders and Data Governance Council stakeholders. Beyond core technology support, Mr. Abam led numerous initiatives that advanced customer acquisition, product innovation and partner integration leveraging his expertise in APIs, contact centre desktop and mobile tagging and thus developed an open innovation platform approach.
Prior to joining Western Union, Mr. Abam was the Managing Partner at a technology solutions start-up Takara Systems, Inc. Where he secured and successfully led the development and implementation of electronic partner for business match-making and collaboration.
Mr. Abam began his illustrious career as a Data Architect at Graebel Companies where he designed and implemented Commission Sales Automation and Move Estimation data architectures and stored procedures that enabled developers to build scheduling, shipment and move management software.
Mr. Abam holds a Master of Science, Telecommunications Technology degree from the University of Aston, Birmingham, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, from the University of Wales, Cardiff, United Kingdom.
